Step into The Study—where you'll meet the architect behind House of Lysios. Discover the vision, the journey, and the meaning of Lysios: liberation earned by untying the knots that bind.

Every brand starts with a story. Mine begins with a knot—and the courage to untie it. For years, I was told to blend in. To tone down. To build businesses that looked "acceptable." But liberation doesn't come from fitting into boxes society creates for you.

It comes from untying the knots that bind you to them. What you'll see here is more than a career—it's a homecoming. A commitment to gothic luxury, strategic brilliance, and the belief that travel should liberate, not limit. This is House of Lysios. And this is my story.

I Was
Told
I Couldn't

Build a Gothic Travel Brand

Society loves putting people in boxes. Especially those of us who refuse to blend in. For years, I held corporate positions—Marketing Director, National Sales Manager, Lead Recruiter—where I reported to CEOs and owners. I wore the uniform. I played the part. I toned down who I was to fit the mold. But I've always been gothic at heart.

Not the sensational version you see on TV—the sophisticated kind. The kind that loves luxury, dark aesthetics, and refuses to apologize for being different. When I entered the travel industry, I was told the same thing: "You can't make it gothic. Travel agencies don't look like that."

I built it anyway. Because this is my last company. My final career. And if I'm going to spend the rest of my life doing this, it's going to look like me—unapologetically gothic, strategically brilliant, and built for liberation.

The
Journey

From Corporate to Freedom

I've been an entrepreneur for years—sometimes as a side hustle while climbing the corporate ladder, sometimes as my main focus. I've built recruiting agencies, freelanced as a web designer (self-taught after I couldn't afford the $400 someone wanted to charge me), and even launched other businesses.

But travel? Travel was different. Five years ago, someone told me I could become a travel agent and book my own trips while saving thousands. I was intrigued. I signed up with what I thought was a legitimate agency in California. Turns out, I was scammed. The "agency" was real, but the promises weren't.

I paid $99 a month to cold-call leads from online ads, thinking I was building a client base. I wasn't. I was being used. But here's the thing about knots: they only bind you if you let them. I didn't quit. I got certified through the Travel Institute (98% score), completed my ALG Vacation Pro Certification, and found a real host agency—Gateway Travel—that actually supported new agents.

I launched Lysios Travel, started booking trips, and fell in love with the freedom this industry offered. No shipping products. No physical inventory. Just me, my expertise, and the ability to work from anywhere in the world. I had found my calling.

Why "Lysios"?

Liberation Through Untying Knots

Lysios is a title given to the god Dionysus—it means "the loosener" or "the liberator." The one who unties the knots that bind. I chose this name for two reasons. First, for myself. I spent years tied to societal expectations—corporate jobs, blending in, building businesses that looked "acceptable." When I launched my first travel site, I used chocolate brown and cream because everyone said gothic wouldn't work. It made me want to puke. So I untied that knot. I rebuilt. I went full gothic luxury—black, red, silver. Cathedral aesthetics. Sophisticated darkness. Unapologetically me. Second, for you.

What Makes Me Different

I Don't Sell Travel—I Educate Travelers

Here's what most travel agents do: They post dream destinations twice a day. They compete with Expedia on keywords. They sell trips upfront and hope someone bites. I don't do that. My approach is different: I lead with education. I teach people how the travel industry actually works—how to find wholesale rates, how to avoid hidden fees, how to book strategically instead of impulsively. I built the Savvy Travelers Method™ because I saw people on Reddit forums sharing random tips that didn't add up to real savings. They needed a system, not scattered advice. So I created one. And here's the thing: when you educate people first, you don't have to sell to them. They come to you when they're ready—either to learn the system themselves or to have you handle everything. That's the House of Lysios ecosystem: • The Library (learn the method, join the community) • The Travel Lounge (let me book it for you with insider access)

Vision & Fantasy

The Vision

Building a Legacy, Not Just a Business

MY VISION: I want House of Lysios to become THE destination for people who want to master strategic travel. Not just book trips—master the art of traveling smarter, experiencing more, and paying less.

THE HOUSE OF LYSIOS MISSION "To bring freedom through knowledge—untying the knots that bind travelers to overpaying, guessing, and settling for less." Freedom comes at a price: responsibility. We educate, you choose.* --- I want House of Lysios to change how people think about travel. Not as something you "splurge" on once a year, but as something you master. A skill. A system. A way of moving through the world with intention and freedom.

Personal Touch

Balancing Freedom & Business

When I'm not booking trips or teaching the method, you'll find me: Rewatching my favorite films — Horror, sci-fi, suspense, fantasy. Gothic movies with castles and mountains. Lord of the Rings (yes, I'm that girl). Anything with elves, fairies, and hobbits. Reading voraciously — At least one book a month. They call us bibliophiles when we collect and devour books like I do. Cooking gourmet meals — I love exploring cuisines from around the world. If I'm traveling somewhere, I'm learning to cook their food. Exploring Europe — Castles, landscapes, gothic architecture. This is where my heart lives. I'm based in Fort Worth, Texas, but I work from wherever I am. That's the beauty of this business—it travels with me.
